A TV could be used as a board and smartphones the hand cards of a game.
A laptop could be used by a game master to influance the game.
Multi Device Game Server or MDGS was my graduation project. While working on City of Shadows the team and I were thinking about changing the game so it can be played on a TV and controlled through smartphone. I felt this would be a great subject to explore and a great way to apply my knowledge of game development and web development at the same time. I wrote MDGS as a proof of concept together with a design document for the implementation of the game Fury of Dracula. The project taught me a lot about networking and the challenges online multiplayer brings to game development.
